Quiet Pastures, New Zealand Landscape – Violet Watson (1906-1992)


A Vintage New Zealand landscape by the notable female landscape artist Violet Watson (1906-1992). Violet was the first woman to win the coveted Kelliher Prize (conjointly), and again winning the prize in 1977. She came from a family of talented artists who were active in the Waikato art scene, with Violet being a member of the Waikato Society of Art during her succesful career in the 1970’s.
