19th Century English Landscape, Charles Greville Morris (1861-1922)

An atmospheric late 19th Century landscape by the British landscape artist Charles Greville Morris (1861-1922). Born in Lancashire, Morris studied fine art in Paris and went onto exhibit at the British Royal Academy 1886-1894.

Several of his works are held in various British regional galleries, including his painting ‘Marshlands’ which is held in the City Art Gallery Manchester.

Oil on wood board, signed lower right. The painting sits in its original gilt wood tapered frame.

The frame is in good antique condition with some aged patina as is the frame.

Measures including frame: 21.5cm high, 26.5cm wide, 2.5cm deep.
