Impressionist turquoise seas and white caps are the feature of this painting, the textured brush strokes depicting the choppy movement of the water. Two figures, children exploring perhaps, sit on the rocks whilst gulls are blown about over head.

Professionally framed in a white wooden french style frame.

Measures including frame: 40cm wide, 34.5cm high.

*Born in Liverpool NSW, Lance Solomon undertook his art studies at the East Sydney Technical College and the Royal Academy School, London. He married and then settled down in Narrabeen on Sydneys Northern Beaches.

Known for his landscape paintings, Solomon won the Wynne Prize in 1946 for January Weather and 1953 for The River Bend.
